USA World Cup Committee Announces Lesley Plant as 2023 World Cup Manager!
The World Cup Committee is proud to announce Lesley Plant as the manager for the 2023 USA Polocrosse World Cup Team that will compete in Shongweni, South Africa, July 20 -26, 2023.
Lesley, who started riding with Pony Club, has been coaching and playing polocrosse for 19 years. She participated in the 2003 and 2007 World Cup competitions in Australia as a player for Team Canada.
Lesley worked to get polocrosse recognized as a project and assisted in organizing the program for 4-H. She also sat on the board for Polocrosse Canada from 2004 – 2008. In addition, in 2008, Lesley and a small group of friends formed Polocrosse Calgary and is presently their president.
Lesley has been fortunate to have traveled to many places in the United States and abroad to play polocrosse and to have formed many lifelong friendships and relationships. However, her highlight is getting to play on a section with her husband and son.
“The opportunity to manage this team brings me full circle in polocrosse.” Lesley is “excited to be a part of this team and this great group of athletes!”
